38: The importance of rest before you burn out!

Is your body’s check engine light on? 🚨 To all the go getters, the high achievers, recovering perfectionists—it’s okay to slow down! It’s so important to check in with yourself during the busy seasons of life.  Rest does NOT have to be earned! You deserve to rest without any permission. Your productivity also should not determine how much/if you should rest. Remember, you can’t pour from an empty cup!❣️ Two aspects of rest are: Mindfulness rest. Examples are: nighttime/morning routine, going for a walk, cooking, meditating, self-care practices. Physical rest. Examples are: sleeping for 8 hours each night, naps, taking the day off 💤 The key takeaway of this episode is to be intentional about how you take care of yourself! Take the time find your favorite ways to rest.
