Humans are built for attachment, yet when we are young we are often taught that attachment is unsafe and we start to create different attachment styles that feel safe for us. As we become adults, these attachment styles come out in our relationships and often stop us from connecting and feeling love the way we want. I have been on a big journey with my attachment the last few years and have moved from anxious/avoidant to a more secure place. I never thought I could get to the place I am and have the relationship I have, so I wanted to share all about my journey, my insights and how I moved to a secure place. This is a personal journey as well as some ways to identify your own attachment throughout. Tune in to learn: What are attachment styles What are the 4 attachment styles How I thought I was anxious but was anxious/avoidant and what this looked like The importance of SAFE people when learning to be secure The things I did to move from anxious/avoidant to secure Key take-aways for those wanting to become more secure If you want to learn more about attachment styles you can check out this article on mindbodygreen: https://www.mindbodygreen.com/articles/attachment-theory-and-the-4-attachment-styles The book I spoke to is called ‘Attached’ by Dr Amir Levine If you’re wanting to join Self-Mastery Accelerator check it out here: https://completebycaitlin.com/self-mastery-accelerator If you have any questions please shoot me a message on IG @complete_bycaitlin If you loved this episode please leave a review :)
