224. How To Deal With Life's Hardships Without Turning To Food

Thin Within Podcast With Marna Thall | Mental Secrets For Weight Loss Mastery - A podcast by Marna

There’s no question that life throws up challenges. Sometimes one at a time and sometimes all at once. In my family, the last three weeks, my husband’s father passed and last Friday, May 13th, we got the news that my husband’s youngest first cousin, Tami, passed of heart complications from Covid, even after being fully vaccinated. She was only 29. The hardest part for me personally, has been watching my husband feel pain and want to take his pain away or do something as an outside family member to support them. You might be an empath where you feel everyone else's feelings. Anytime you watch others go through pain or suffering, you too go through that similar pain or suffering.  But if your vulnerability is food - it's important to know how to address life's challenges, without turning to food. I did a whole workshop inside of ThinWithin Life™ discussing weight loss for empaths because empaths often find themselves eating to numb all the feelings they feel. Separating your emotional world from your food world is essential to a long-lasting healthy relationship with food. Your emotions need a place to be seen, felt, and expressed. It's amazing – we listen to our friends and loved ones, but often we never listen to the inner dialogue of what’s going on inside of our minds. We don’t take the time to listen to our inner thoughts and feelings. There is pain on either side of the coin - pain if you feel your feelings, and pain if you push your feelings down with food. Which pain do you want to feel? I’ve learned a lot more about my father-in-law in the last few weeks, and lots more beautiful details about Tami in these few last days. What I know about both of them is that they lived fully, lived passionately, and stood unapologetically for the things that mattered most to them. They have inspired me to think about what I stand unapologetically for, and here’s what I know - "I stand for women loving their bodies, feeling good in their skin, and never feeling ashamed or in hiding their bodies." "I stand for women of all shapes, sizes, colors, and religions finding ways to feel their feelings and managing their minds so that they trust that you can become the superhero of their lives and learn how to get through life without dimming their light or numbing their lives with food." June 6, 2022, was the first day of the next 30-Day Challenge. Since the challenge passed, if you want to start doing something NOW, take my free weight loss course and I can help break this logical framework down so that you can begin losing weight AND change the habits and patterns from the inside out. #weightlosspodcast, #helpmeloseweight, #weightlosscoach, #thinwithin, #thinwithinlife, #weightlosssuccessstory, #weightlosssucccess, #50poundsdown, #50poundweightloss, #popularweightlosspodcast, #intuitiveeatingsucccess, #smartweightloss, #emotionaleating,  #numbingout, #eatingtonumbout, #weightlosscoaching, #emotionaleatingcoaching, #feelyourfeelings.
