1A Remaking America: Alabama's New Congressional Map

A new congressional map drawn up in Alabama produced 19 candidates to choose from this primary season. That's something Alabama doesn't see often in its elections. Today we're bringing you a conversation we had earlier this month in Birmingham, Alabama. We were back as part of our Remaking America collaboration with six partner stations across the country, including WBHM. Remaking America looks at the state of our democracy, and trust in our government. We discuss the importance of competitive elections in a democracy, and how much power voters have.
