I had a few nicknames growing up; Flat Stanier after the book series Flat Stanley, which was shortened to Flat Stan, and eventually, just Stan. He’s a deputy editor and investigations editor at The Age in Australia - one of the country’s top 3 newspapers. Michael, like me, has come a long way, but, for him, that was always the plan.
