Join me for a quick look at one way to read the Bible: Lectio Divina (“Divine Reading”). This practice is inspired by the St. Ignatius Spiritual Exercises and it is a way of deepening your understanding of scripture. Put simply, you practice Lectio Divina by reading a passage in the Bible two times, and the second time you look for a word or phrase that jumps out at you, and then you bring it to God in prayer and ask Him what He wants to teach you.
