But while we've been bearing the brunt of climate change, we haven't had a national climate policy. That is, until this week, when the Greens confirmed they'd struck a deal with the Albanese government on a bill that is meant to force the nation's biggest polluters to slash emissions. So how will it work? Today, we speak with professor of environmental and climate change economics, IPCC lead author Dr Frank Jotzo, about the deal, and why it shouldn't mean consumers will pay more.
