For Black History Month I decided to create a mix honoring a genre African American’s don’t get a lot respect or credit for HOUSE MUSIC. Some say house music originated from a Chicago club called the Warehouse, which existed from 1977 to 1983. Clubbers to the Warehouse were primarily black, who came to dance to music played by the club's resident DJ Frankie Knuckles, who fans refer to as the "godfather of house”. In the 80’s & 90’s most of these Black House Music Artists always included an inspiring message in their songs to uplift the community. In this mix I Included different house music classics from different areas like New Jersey (Zanzibar), New York, Baltimore & Chicago. Featuring Artist like Frankie Knuckles, Mr Fingers, Jungle Brothers, Cajmere, Robin S, Cece Rogers, Z-yze & more. Hope You Enjoy! DJ Hol Up
