36. Remembering Donna Gentile

All In A Day's (Sex) Work - A podcast by Blair Hopkins

Categories:

Part Six of our December 17th - International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers series. Donna Marie Gentile (August 22, 1962- June 23,1985) was a street-based sex worker recruited as a police corruption informant. After she delivered testimony against several officers with the San Diego Police Department, she was found murdered. Her killer or killers have never been identified. Today Anita DeFrancesco, Donna's cousin and the author of The Donna Gentile Story: The Life and Murder of an Innocent Runaway, joins me to tell her story.  All In A Day's (Sex) Work is produced by Blair Hopkins and brought to you in part by SWOP-Behind Bars. Music by Jakob Ahlbolm and Christian Andersen. Special thanks as always to Alex Andrews and remember: All In A Day’s (Sex) Work is an ever-expanding narrative; if you are a sex worker, partner, patron, or other adult industry-adjacent person, I want to hear from you!
