General Thomas Sumter escapes an attempt to kill him at Fishdam Ford, and captures the British officer sent to take him. Shortly afterward, Sumter defeats the Notorious Colonel Banastre Tarleton and Blackstock's Plantation.  We also cover the Lynch Creek Massacre, and skirmishes at Rugeley's Mill and Halfway Swamp as the Americans keep the fight alive in South Carolina.
