Biden: Hamas and Putin share goal to "annihilate a neighboring democracy"

Anderson Cooper 360 - A podcast by CNN

President Biden delivered a primetime speech from the Oval Office to make the case to Americans for U.S. support in the wars in Israel and Ukraine. The president said he will send an “urgent budget request” to Congress to "fund America's national security needs to support our critical partners, including Israel and Ukraine." Retired Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling tells Anderson Cooper that he believes this is “one of the most dangerous times in our history.” Plus, the president said he was “heartbroken” by the deadly Gaza hospital blast and that Israel was “not responsible.” Israel claims the bombing was caused by a Islamic Jihad rocket while Palestinian officials have blamed Israel. CNN Chief National Security Correspondent Alex Marquardt joins AC360 to discuss the newly obtained intelligence on the blast.  For daily information on the Israel-Gaza conflict, check out CNN’s podcast ‘Tug of War: Attack on Israel’ here: https://link.chtbl.com/-lB8n-bJ  To learn more about how CNN protects listener privacy, visit cnn.com/privacy Learn more about your ad choices.
