This episode was first published September 20, 2021 on my YouTube channel (Aquarian Diary). There is a federal election occurring in Canada today. Despite the fact that I am voting in a province (roughly equivalent to a state) that is not currently my primary residence I was able to easily and quickly vote in this election. I failed to mention that according to the Canada Elections Act, any eligible voter must have three consecutive hours off work to exercise their right to vote on an election day. There are also numerous provisions for people who are unable to vote on election day. We do have an active Green party but they will likely not be a very significant factor in this election due to current internal disarray. I share this mostly for the benefit of my many American friends who may face many unnecessary impediments to voting and participating in their democracy.
