They say that every millionaire has 7 different streams of revenue. To me, that both sounds smart and exhausting. Today, let's chat about the different ways we can bring money in by specializing in different areas within the art niche. There are SO MANY possibilities when it comes to making money as an artist. Check out a list of some of the options below:But as you're considering each option, ask yourself these questions:1. What area am I curious about enough to do a DEEP dive into?2. What thing would I not mind talking about or sharing on social media every single day?3. What thing would I not mind doing for free for the first year to get some traction going?4. Do I want to do these things MORE than my current job?Art Revenue Options:1. I can’t imagine adding another thing right now, which keeps me from chasing the new fun thing (Instagram’s new Threads app for instance). My biggest tip for adding another revenue stream: Have your current one on autopilot before diving into something new. Meaning, it should be relatively easy to keep your current bread-and-butter business afloat. Because the new fun project will take your attention away from the old one. It’s like starting a new business every time, only slightly easier than the first, but a new business nonetheless.Listen to today’s episode of the Artist Academy Podcast for a deeper dive into this subject, including my own personal experience with adding and subtracting profitable projects.www.ArtistAcademy.coAnd here's the link to episode 199.
