Navigating education with a special needs youngster can be tough and there's a real importance to keeping your youngster in mind when assessing whether a provision is right for them or not.  Make sure you avail of any special needs coordinator support and educational psychology to support your case and park any emotion when it comes to making your case.  The more logical and practical you are, I think, the better.  What's first and foremost is your child's happiness in the setting you choose.  It can be a challenging time but worth all the effort when you find the right setting.  This is an experience of Special needs education here in the UK but nevertheless, the principles are the same.  You need support in making that decision.  Good Luck!
