EU adds Russian airlines to blacklist Separate from any sanctions, the EU has added nearly two dozen Russian airlines to its safety-based blacklist. The EU says the airlines have been operating their aircraft without valid airworthiness certificates, creating a safety risk. The end of the Covid Combi in Europe EASA says guidelines for operating passenger aircraft with cabin freight will expire at the end of July. US airlines may owe EU261 compensation in certain cases An EU court has ruled US airlines may owe passengers EU261 compensation for delays in limited circumstances.
