Welcome to the 35th episode of the Back to Human Podcast. This is a short solo episode where I share my experience abstaining from coffee and caffeine. As you can probably guess from the title, since recording the "Let's Take a Coffee Break" episode with Dr. Stephen Cherniske, I had reintroduced coffee back in to my daily routine and all was seemingly well, until it wasn't. What started out as a quick morning boost to get me through the day after a very poor night of sleep led to daily consumption of coffee that was masking how tired I really was. This ultimately ended up with me hitting a wall which caused me to reflect on my habits at the time, realizing that I really needed to just rest. I had fallen back into a state of human DOING rather than human BEING. I am once again bean free and believe I have kicked the habit for good. This episode is not intended to persuade you to give up coffee yourself. I am simply sharing my personal experience with coffee and what I have noticed since removing it.
