Back to Mono - A podcast by Frederick French-Pounce - Wednesdays

Hello Friends, and welcome to the first part in a two-part monophonic look at Psychedelia in the 60s, starting this week on the more traditionally buoyant and bizarre side of the genre. There'll be bizarre flipsides from The Bee Gees and Boyce & Hart, Hits from The Kinks, The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel & The Hollies, and buried LP tracks from The Zombies & Small Faces, culminating in our LP pick of the week, 'Younger Than Yesterday' from The Byrds, with a look at the three songwriting forces that came together to make the classic LP we have today. We'll also be taking a jump on a rare vintage acetate mix from The Beach Boys' unfinished Smile album, finally placing a vintage mix within the context of it's own era. Just don't take a bad trip en route!Happy Listening, Frederick Email the show at: [email protected] to companion podcast Mixology here: mixology.podbean.comJoin the Facebook Community here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/backtomono
