We have with us pediatrician, coach, author, and speaker, Dr. Yami Cazorla-Lancaster, a passionate promoter of healthy lifestyles and a champion of plant-based nutrition for the prevention of chronic disease. She explains what got her to try being vegan, convert, and then the big changes and benefits she’s experienced as her plant based diet became a part of her life. We need vitamin D, we need to make sure we have other minerals, our vitamin K, those kinds of things, and so I do think that calcium gets overblown as far as its importance in our bones.
