To say that the past year-and-a-half has been very good to the rapper known as CJ would probably be something of an understatement. This Staten Island native is the mastermind behind the hit single “Whoopty” – you know, that track that followed us everywhere in the summer of 2020. Actually, come to think of it, most of us were all locked up inside during last summer – which made it near impossible to get away from the thing. Regardless, in a short matter of time, that song became the biggest New York City drill single NOT to be released by the late, great, Pop Smoke. Still, CJ has more than his fair share of detractors.
