Queen Elizabeth II | Gone But Not Forgotten | Tribute To Her Majesty

Before They Were Famous - A podcast by Michael McCrudden

I don’t know about the rest of you, but when I think about the United Kingdom it’s basically impossible for me not to conjure up images of the Royal Family -- more specifically -- Her Majesty the Queen who has not only been the country’s monarch for as long as I’ve been alive but a heck of a lot longer than that! Since ascending to the throne in 1952, this mother of four has talked politics with 15 prime ministers and 13-US Presidents, well also figurehead 53 Commonwealth countries and welcomed eight grandchildren as well as a dozen great-grandchildren. As someone who likes to keep himself going almost all the time, even I can’t imagine keeping up with a life as busy as that! But today came the sad news that Queen Elizabeth II has passed away following a bout of poor health. Earlier this week, the Queen was placed under medical supervision at Balmoral Castle in Scotland following a doctor’s concerns over her deteriorating condition. Today, England’s longest-reigning sovereign and the world’s oldest monarch would pass away in the late evening, surrounded by her friends and loved ones. So, today on this episode of Gone But Not Forgotten, we’re set to take a look back at her epic life and celebrate all she accomplished.
