If you’ve ever heard the song “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)”, then chances are you’ve heard of the rapper Silento who climbed to nearly the top of the Billboard Charts back in 2015 with this one-hit-wonder. But ever since that moment, Silento has made more headlines for this erratic behavior than he has his music. In the summer of 2020, he was arrested not once, but twice, for committing some seriously bad acts, one of which involved a hatchet. And now, less than a year later, he’s been arrested once again, this time for committing a serious crime on his cousin, Frederick Rooks, who was found shot and passed away on January 21st, 2021. At this point in time, Silento is being held under lock and key at DeKalb County Jail as he awaits his pending trial. But how did a young man with so much potential and talent wind up throwing it all away?
