Disrespectful and Insufferable Drunk 21-Year-Old Hits 2 Parked CarsOn June 16, 2024, Rio Rancho Police Officers were called to investigate a hit and run accident. The driver of a white Ford Taurus had crashed into a car and drive away. A few blocks later, the driver of the Taurus crashed into another vehicle. At that point, the driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Neighbors followed the 21-year-old woman until police arrived. After being detained by Officer McCracken, the woman continuously denied being the driver. She repeatedly used her cell phone and refused to listen to officers or answer questions. When asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests, she refused to put down her cell phone.Eventually, officers placed her under arrest and transported her to the Rio Rancho Police Station. She initially agreed to provide breath samples. She provided the first of two samples, but when it came time to provide the second sample, she tried to delay the process by asking repeated questions. The breath testing device timed out and the testing process was stopped.
