Best of Today - A podcast by BBC Radio 4

Nicola Sturgeon called a surprise press conference and announced on Wednesday to announce that she was resigning as Scotland's first minister after eight years in the job. The SNP's national executive will meet on Thursday to decide the timetable for a leadership race. The Today programme’s Nick Robinson presented the programme from Edinburgh. He spoke to Stephen Flynn, the SNP’s leader in Westminster and he was joined by the BBC’s Scotland Editor James Cook to examine the challenges that lie ahead for the next leader of the party.
