Will ‘flashing’ be treated more seriously?

Wayne Couzens, the ex-police officer who murdered Sarah Everard was given a rare whole life sentence, meaning he will never be released from prison. However he has now also pleaded guilty to three incidents of indecent exposure. That means questions are now being asked as to whether his earlier offences could have identified him as a violent threat to women – and what his case tells us about so-called ‘flashers’ going on to commit far more serious sexual offences. The BBC’s Justin Webb spoke to three women in their 20s who have all been subjected to indecent exposure, and to Dame Diana Johnson, Chair of the Home Affairs select committee.
