He started out as a CPA, then attended law school and became the first attorney in Texas to focus on low-income tax credit projects as a practice area. He then became a real estate developer focused on urban complex, mixed-use, and high-rise residential projects. Now retired, he recently authored his own book, Managing the Complexities of Real Estate Development.
