Preparing For and Recovering From Prolapse Surgery with Amichi Jensen

Between Two Lips - A podcast by Kim Vopni - Wednesdays

My name is Amichi. Say it with a smile. I am 35, married to my husband Ben, and have three daughters. We had planned to have six kids. Wisdom can redirect things, and that’s okay. Each pregnancy was very different. My last one was the hardest. I am “a little Christ-like one” who believes that my faith was a part of my restoration of health. In my faith, I began to pursue bitter herbs, detoxing foods, colon/gut cleansing, and balancing. All that was left to attend was my vagina. During my last pregnancy, I had hyperemesis and obesity, very new experiences. I noticed that I was feeling symptoms that were very vulnerable, emotionally taxing, and like my body was not supporting itself like it always had. I began to pray, and my journey began. I’ve learned and experienced much success in the pelvic area, and I can’t wait to share. I completed posterior/anterior/perineum surgery. I want people to have body awareness, to be healed, and people to know that healing might come through a surgeon (one recommended by a Pelvic therapist, preferably). My heart is faith and prevention.
