Out of the Vault: Sina's Meat Shortage Solution

CAUTION: This podcast is NOT about whether or not it’s healthy to eat meat.  This podcast is for anyone who eats meat and wants to help ensure they will continue to have access to meat.I’m making this statement after receiving hate mail on this topic:For years I have researched this topic in great detail and completely agree that some individuals do very well as vegans or vegetarians.  However, scientific research and case studies also indicate that some individuals thrive when consuming moderate amounts of animal products IF sourced from ecologically-raised animals.  In other words, both sides of this discussion can find data to support their own conclusion.   My position on this topic is that it would be irresponsible and inaccurate for me to declare that one diet is right for everyone. We are all individuals and, therefore, have individual needs and requirements.  I work with clients who do well as vegans, while other clients do just as well eating moderate amounts of ecologically-raised animal products.  I do not pretend to know which diet is right for other people.  Only you know what is right for your body.  My goal is to help people tap into their innate abilities so they can communicate with their own bodies to determine their unique individual needs.  For instance, my diet varies based on my body’s needs in that moment.  Overall, my body usually prefers a vegan-based diet for roughly 2-3 days and the following day my body wants to eat a small amount of meat, similar in size to a condiment.  That works for me.  It won’t work for everyone because, again, we are all individuals.  Consequently, instead of outsourcing the decision to “experts,” I encourage each person to learn how to listen to their own bodies to find the answer that works for them.         Having said that, IF you eat meat and would like to learn about one solution for curtailing meat shortages, please continue reading.A meat shortage is coming, beyond what we are already experiencing.  But there's a solution!  And, we need your help to make it work!Representative Thomas Massie has introduced a bill called the PRIME Act, which will:Increase availability of meatDecrease the price of meat sold from local farmsWeaken the meat processing monopoly by decentralizing the meat processing plants thereby increasing the safety of meatRestore constitutional authority to the states NOW is the time to reclaim this food freedom we have lost! Listen to the podcast to learn more! And, please CALL your representative and senators.   Calls make the biggest impact, according to Rep. Thomas Massie.  Ask them to cosponsor the Processing Revival and Intrastate Meat Exemption (PRIME) Act, H.R. 2859 and S. 1620, introduced in the House by Reps. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and Chellie Pingree (D-Maine) and in the Senate by Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Angus King (I-Maine). Find out who represents you by going to www.house.gov or by calling the Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121.
