Passed Pawn Analysis

Welcome to Beyond Westworld, and boy do we some poetic sensibilities for you…

Passed Pawn

From the lab to the slab, not only is the meat perfect in Westworld, so is the meat we received in Passed Pawn this week. Dolores and Caleb travel to Mexico to find what they are looking for which turns out was not the man in white. Turns out Solomon is still alive and kicking after all these years and it has a projection plan that Rehoboam hasn't accounted for. Remember boys and girls, your parents always know better. While speaking with Solomon, Caleb also learns the truth about the nature of his reality as we go down some un-conditioning of Caleb's Reconditioned mind.

Elsewhere, Charred-Lores takes out Musashi-lores by partnering up with Maeve and a few of her friends. Welcome back Clementine and Hanaryo who kills Musashi in the most amazing way but not before a secret package was sent away to his "friend". Maeve then heads to Mexico to confront Dolores head on while Stubbs and Bernard team up with the Man in White only to be double crossed by the supposed savior of the human race.

Be sure to answer our park satisfaction questionnaire this week down in the comments. What happens with all the frozen people? Will the Man In White take out our friends? Who will find Maeve lying in Mexico? Will we see the 5th Dolores in the finale? Tune in next week for another vacation Beyond Westworld!

About HBO's Westworld

In 1973, celebrated author and filmmaker Michael Crichton released Westworld, his visionary idea of what a theme park could be as human-looking androids fulfilled our every desire. Four decades later, creators Jonathan and Lisa Joy Nolan are taking the concept to the next evolutionary step as Westworld can now be ‘fleshed’ out as a deeper concept that explores the vast array of potential and consequence from such advanced technology. The one-hour drama series is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin. Set at the intersection of the near future and the reimagined past, it explores a world in which every human appetite can live without limits, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged. The cast of the series includes Evan Rachel Wood, Ed Harris, Anthony Hopkins, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, James Marsden, Tessa Thompson, and more.
