The Absence of Field Analysis

Welcome to Beyond Westworld, and boy do we have a future narrative for you…

The Winter Line

Charlotte Hale is front and center this week as we learn what has been happening over a Delos since the incident in the park. Turns out Serac and Incite have been busy buying up shares to take a controlling interest in Delos. Not only is this happening right under the big wigs noses, but Charlotte is also a SPY! Turns out the S1 storyline of smuggling data out of the park was true but it wasn't to oust the man in black. It was to transmit Delos intel to Incite, but for what purpose remains to be seen.

Meanwhile Dolores and Caleb's story picks back up right after the events of episode 1. Looks like either Delos, Incite, or the system is looking for Dolores but Caleb knows better. Caleb and Dolores escape and then she takes him on a Caleb this is your life journey not only looking at his past, but also telling him how Rehoboam has already predicted his future. So he can either let it play out and commit suicide in 10 years, or he can take control and fight back at Dolores' side.

Be sure to answer our park satisfaction questionnaire this week down in the comments. Who the HALE is in Charlotte Hale? Will Caleb ever learn the truth of who Dolores is? Will Charlotte learn the truth about who she is? Will we? Tune in next week for another vacation Beyond Westworld!

About HBO's Westworld

In 1973, celebrated author and filmmaker Michael Crichton released Westworld, his visionary idea of what a theme park could be as human-looking androids fulfilled our every desire. Four decades later, creators Jonathan and Lisa Joy Nolan are taking the concept to the next evolutionary step as Westworld can now be ‘fleshed’ out as a deeper concept that explores the vast array of potential and consequence from such advanced technology. The one-hour drama series is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin. Set at the intersection of the near future and the reimagined past, it explores a world in which every human appetite can live without limits, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged. The cast of the series includes Evan Rachel Wood, Ed Harris, Anthony Hopkins, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, James Marsden, Tessa Thompson, and more.
