Authors & researchers Jane Cunningham and Philippa Roberts are difficult women and proud of it.  They're especially proud of their new book 'Brandsplaining', written during the pandemic, which lifts the lid on how culture purposely makes us feel crap sometimes, so that we buy stuff. Especially women. And how it does this very sneakily. This podcast made me realise how damaging this idea that females need to be 'good girls' has been in my life, and how to deal with it. If you've ever not felt good enough (and I know from many messages and conversations that this feeling is all-pervasive) this episode is for you. While we focus on girls in this interview, boys are also increasingly getting the same treatment that we've had for years, which they touch on in their book (we didn't have time for this today - but we will definitely be covering it in future!).
