DJ Strawberry aka Emre Öztürk (he/him) is a producer/DJ from Istanbul & currently based in Berlin. His style bases in micro-grooves with considerable inspiration coming from Japanese footwork minimalism. His debut album ‘cycles’ on Wroclaw-based outlines label collided footwork with ambient in 2022 and labeled as one of the best tape releases of the year by the Quietus magazine. He released his 2nd album “beyond” and toured in Asia, EU and the UK in 2023. In fall 2024, he released “deceleration” EP from Berlin’s appendix.files where he experiments with slowed down juke beats, jazz & funk samples with ambient and dub twists. He debuted on Leipzig’s fast-paced bass music label Defrostatica early December 2024 with "Versatile EP", expanding his sound to jungle territory.
