This episode of FRI presented by Inertia Movement brings music from Elevate festival 2024 from Graz preparing for the 2025th Edition in one week.  Ciprian has as a guest Maya Shenfeld who he interviewed after the festival. They touch on music today, Maya’s composing perspectives and her collaboration with Pedro Maia for her latest record, “Under the Sun”. Maya is a Jerusalem-born, Berlin-based composer and musician, exploring the intersection of musical production methods derived from popular, electronic, and experimental music. Shenfeld released two records on the US label Thrill Jockey, "Under the Sun" (2024) and "In Free Fall" (2022). "Under the Sun" has been presented as an AV show in collaboration with Portuguese video artist Pedro Maia. In 2022, she scored two short films, "Piazza Futura" and "The Flagmakers," the latter of which won an Emmy Award and was shortlisted for an Academy Award.
