This show's reading comes from TRUST publication, Building the Cultural Commons, realeased by Valiz, Amsterdam last year and written by Pascal Gielen. It is an absolutely mesmerising publication, illustrated but no so much as I am used to present to you. It talks about community, neighbourhoods entrusting eachother, lack of trust for the political or economic systems, mutual ballance between these situations and even explaining three types of democracies that are crucial to understand right now. It highlights the crucial role played by the cultural commons, shared common life and its customs, practicse, knowledge and values. As they say, ‘’after all, trust is a matter of culture, emotion and even aesthetics.  The musical selection is focused on our book themes, cultural commons, trust and community. We’ll encounter a lot of breakbeat, techno, experimental hip hop, dubby house and even breakcore and quirky genres along ambitious takeaways of undeground samples.
