Sergio Ermotti Talks Markets and Bank Earnings

UBS posted higher than expected profit in the second quarter, as strong client inflows and investment banking revenue helped bolster CEO Sergio Ermotti’s efforts to return capital to shareholders.The Zurich-based bank said net income was $1.1 billion, about double analyst estimates. The key wealth management business saw strong client inflows, with $27 billion in net new assets in the period.
