Comrade Kim Goes Flying (2012) is a North Korean romantic comedy, described as "a girl-power fairy tale about dreaming to fly," by one of its co-directors, Nicholas Bonner. The film is as odd, but not in the ways you would perhaps expect; a smoulderingly Oedipal relationship casts a shadow over the entire plot.
