Joi was born and raised in Los Angeles but has traveled to over a dozen countries.
- Education: Joi has Bachelors in Kinesiology/Biomechanics,and is currently working on a doctorate in clinical psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy.
- Experience: Joi has worked in health, sports and fitness in various capacities for over a decade and owned a fitness studio in Los Angeles for 3 years before making the switch to the mental health field. She is currently working with clients as therapist and just launched the Club of Hearts, a subscription-based online community for personal and professional development providing monthly workshops and other tools to support members in creating the lives they desire from relationships to business and beyond!
- Accomplishments: Joi is Collegiate All-American Athlete, Junior National Swimming and Water Polo coach, Tri-Athlete, doctoral candidate, full-time entrepreneur for nearly a decade.
- Fun facts: Joi has formally participated in 10 sports, played 4 instruments and is currently learning her third language.
- Obstacles Overcame: Biggest obstacle was redefining her identity when she made the shift from working in sports/fitness to mental and emotional health.
