This week Dr. Daniel Correa sits down with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) advocates and I AM ALS co-founders, Brian Wallach and Sandra Abrevaya. Brian—who was diagnosed with ALS in 2017 at 37 years old—and his wife and care partner Sandra share their family’s experience with ALS and how they have utilized their skills from working on legislation and political campaigns to become effective advocates and raise awareness about this neurodegenerative disease. Next, Dr. Correa speaks with Dr. Jinsy Andrews, neurologist and associate professor of neurology in the Division of Neuromuscular Medicine and director of Neuromuscular Clinical Trials at Columbia University.
