Novelist Joe Dunthorne’s on his book Children of Radium: A Buried Inheritance, a personal story of his family’s life in Germany during the Second World War. Joe spoke about digging into the uncomfortable strands of the story and resisting the urge as a writer to ‘tidy’ it away.
