BOF 100: What It Takes To Be A Great Dad with Curt Storring

Brotherhood of Fatherhood - A podcast by Scott Rammage

The way we were raised is important, but it's not the only thing that defines how we become fathers. The good news is that there are ways to change and improve our parenting skills. Our guest today shares his wisdom and knowledge on how to be a better father and break the stigma that men don't need help with their mental health. Curt Storring is the host of Dad.Work Podcast. His podcast aims to “Healing The World By Breaking The Chain of Generational Trauma” focusing on men by offering the skills, habits, knowledge, and insights dads need to heal and develop and have a quantifiable influence on reducing poor outcomes connected to men's mental health. He quit his job at age 23 with no business idea (to move cross-country to be closer to family before we had a kid), and haven't had a job since and was able to build, buy, and sell 7+ figures of websites and eCommerce brands. If not-work related counts, his greatest accomplishment is becoming a calm, confident leader and father, because he was a terrible, miserable, angry young dad. He loves to play Hockey, read, be in the woods, playing guitar. Interesting about Curt is that he and his family lived abroad and traveled for 2 years. Spent most of our time in Thailand, some in eastern Europe and actually played hockey in Thailand, which is totally counter-intuitive. Most people would agree that being a good father is vital, but it takes more than just working harder to be a great parent. You must endeavor to be the finest guy you can be in order to become the best possible father. It isn't always simple, but it is worthwhile.
