Bside Incoming: DJ Headset For our 122nd show we venture across the pond to Copenhagen, where our guest takes us on a personal guided tour of his eclectic record collection. ‘Eclectic’ is a term often overused when introducing DJs, yet when playing the a jazz wine bar in the afternoon then smashing a 6am club techno techno set, it seems more than adequate term to describe his style. Originally from Norway, DJ Headset has spent his recent years spinning his musical discs in clubs all around Scandinavia. Being an original ‘Italian of the North’, DJ Headset’s quirky and odd-ball sound has manifested infectious happiness on the dance floor earning him the privilege of playing at the prestigious Danish club Jolene and founding his own night there ‘time suit’ with DJ Popup and En Anden. With clubs shut, DJ Headset continues his passion of sharing music though his residency on Nowhere Radio. When describing his show for us he stated, ‘This mix is en eclectic mix of everything from Danish Eurovision tracks via British synth pop, some Italian disco and lastly a long dubbed out mix of an amazing Norwegian pop tune. I’ve tried to put together some very different tracks that have one thing in common — they make me smile’. And smile you will.
