The Little Mermaid

A curious little mermaid dreams of seeing the world beyond the ocean. On her fifteenth birthday her father grants her wish to swim up to the ocean’s surface. She sees a handsome prince and falls in love with him at first sight. Deciding that she must see him again, the little mermaid visits the SeaWitch, who gives her a potion that will turn her into a human. There is just one condition, the SeaWitch wants the little mermaid’s voice in return. In her desperation the little mermaid agrees. The SeaWitch warns her that if the prince does not fall in love with her, then the little mermaid will die and turn into sea foam.  The prince finds the little mermaid collapsed on the beach. He takes her back to his palace and allows her to stay. They become good friends, but the little mermaid is sad that she has no voice and is unable to tell the prince how she feels about him.  One day the prince announces that he is to be married. The SeaWitch offers the little mermaid the chance to become a mermaid again, but in order for this to happen, she must kill the prince. The little mermaid refuses and on the day of the wedding she accepts that she will die brokenhearted and become sea foam.
