Business Beyond Usual - A podcast by Michigan Ross

Categories:

This past term for first-year MBA students at the Ross School of Business was anything but typical. They’ve spent the past seven weeks working on projects for real companies and organizations as part of the required Multidisciplinary Action Projects course at Michigan Ross. They’ve traveled all across the country and around the world to meet with executives, conduct research, and immerse themselves in the work. It’s the only class they’ve taken this term, and these projects have been their sole focus -- 400 students working with 74 different companies in 25 countries. In this episode, we talk with five of those students as they finish up their projects. We’ll hear from:William Stockert, whose team is working directly with the CEO of theluxury brand Shinola to expand into a new product lineClaire Fletcher, who is in India, helping GE Power bring affordable electricity to parts of the country;Caroline Vidal Netto, who is working with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help them expand the number of wishes granted in a given year;Parker Caldwell, who is working with a startup to bring life-saving healthcare technology to patients in India; andIgnacio Calvo, who is helping IBM explore business possibilities within their cloud computing enterprise. To learn more about Ross MAP projects, visit the Michigan Ross Website:https://michiganross.umich.edu/programs/full-time-mba/curriculum/mapSee pictures from these projects and more on Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/rossmap/We want to hear your feedback.
