Welcome back to the Candlelit Tales Podcast, and back to the Battle Rage Series. This year we decided to choose lesser known characters from the Ulster Cycle, and tell their most interesting stories. This is the story of Neasa, the woman who was once called Easa. She was called this because Easa means gentle, but after seeing the horrific murder of her entire family, her life was destroyed. She vowed vengeance and swore to track down every one of the men that did her wrong. She became Ní Easa, Ungentle. Neasa is also the mother of Conchubhar of the Ulster cycle. This story shows his mother had a more interesting tale to her life than just being known for giving birth to a king. This story is told by Sorcha. Music is by Oisín Ryan & it is produced by Oisín Ryan You might recognise the characters in this series from the Táin saga. These stories stand alone, linked by one connection: the different manifestations of their Battle Rage.
