Debunking 'first date stories' (decoding the hidden messages and themes)

Join us as we debunk a selection of the dates from our pervious episode "Worst and funniest first dates". Our initial reactions (in other episode) to a few of the dates unintentionally missed the serious underlying themes of disrespect, injustice and dismissal of women and humans in general. It is natural as humans the react to the dramatics of an events and miss the underlying injustice in the story, especially as women. We sift through the shocking dramatics of the dates and discuss how many of the women in varying degrees, were taken advantage of and had their agency removed.                                  

We speak about the importance of having a way out of a situation as a females and how males can actually step up and be an avenue of safety and security . This episode is not an attempt to put males down but instead, aims to point out the toxic messages and motives in the dates we discuss. This episodes aims to increase our awareness of impure motives and help us to question which injustices have been overpowered by the drama in our own stories and the stories of those around us.
