A huge Irish fleet arrives on the shores of Wales with an interesting proposal for Bran, the Welsh High King. Matholwch, the Irish High King, arrives on the shores of Wales with a proposition for Bran the Blessed, the High King of Wales. He suggests a marriage between the two islands: the Emerald Isle and the Island of the Mighty by arranging a marriage between Branwen and the Irish High King, Matholowch.
