Animal welfare group SAFE has renewed its call for a ban on rodeo after five animals died this season. Most recently a bull had to be killed after it apparently broke its leg while being forced to buck at the Waimarino rodeo. Associate Minister of Agriculture Andrew Hoggard is still reviewing a draft Rodeo Code of Welfare, that could effectively decide whether the sport has a future. Mr Hoggard spoke to Lisa Owen.
