Smith and Caugheys unveils Christmas window display

For the last time, Auckland's iconic Queen street department store Smith and Caugheys is unveiling it's much-loved chistmas window display. The displays that aim to bring a bit of "magic" to shoppers - have been masterminded by special projects manager Kevin Broadfoot since 2007. But today's unveiling will be the last of its kind and marks the final chapter for the department store in its current form. In May, it announced it would close after 140 years of operation. But a last-minute change means the store will keep going - in a scaled back format, reporter Bella Craig spoke to Lisa Owen from Smith and Caughey's in Auckland's CBD.
