Fast forward to 2020 and I have a boutique property development company currently building out 105 homes and commercial units across nine sites in London. What first attracted me to property was the fast pace and excitement of being a hands-on developer. It was a way of combining my love of architecture and design with my financial knowledge. We have built out millions of pounds of property over the last decade and were at the forefront of alternative finance raising over £6.4m via crowdfunding for six of our sites. Building on my experience and expertise, particularly around the importance of personal branding within the property space, I'm often invited to speak at events throughout the world with engagements in Dubai and Canada during 2020. I am also a regular property columnist with Modern Woman magazine and am a best selling author of Bricking It, with another book on the way. Of course I have a podcast where I share engaging conversations with people from all industries at www.nicolebremner.com/podcasts. Outside of property development I’ve invested in property auction company Bamboo Auctions and music merchandise company Terrible Merch. I am a non-executive director on the boards of these companies as well as that of Cogress, an alternative finance company. Whenever possible my partner Paul and I escape to the Mediterranean to sail on Savvy of London, his XP-55 by X-Yachts. We recently launched a sailing channel on YouTube, SailingSavvy, which follows our family’s adventures at sea.
