Miguel Blacutt is a neuroscience researcher and graduate student at Columbia University, as well as a researcher at the New York Genome Center. Miguel focuses on sensorimotor neuroscience and computational genomics in ALS and Huntington’s Disease. He is also a research collaborator with Yale School of Medicine and a graduate of McGill University. Aside from academics, Miguel is highly interested in existential philosophy and rationality. I hit record during one of our conversations and we ended up discussing the importance of understanding yourself and questioning the intention behind the things you do. Many of us would be surprised to find that there is more to our thoughts and behaviours than meets the eye. If we take the time to really think about who we are, we may find ourselves more integrated, fulfilled and engaged with life.
