Noor Mukadam

In 2021, Noor Mukadam was a Pakistani victim of rape and murder. She was 27 years old and the daughter of a former diplomat. Before her murder, Noor was held hostage for two days, tortured with a knuckleduster, then decapitated with a knife.The murderer was 27-year-old Zahir Jaffer, who later confessed to killing Noor because she refused to accept his marriage proposal.This is another case of senseless violence and murder against women, sparking media and community outrage both in Pakistan and across the world. Unfortunately, Noor's case is a drop in the ocean, and we're reminded repeatedly that there's still so much to do to tackle violence against women. Please take a listen.
